In this section, I will be showing the progression of wear on a 2005 Silver American Eagle over time as I use it as a pocket piece.

1. The Beginning (March 5, 2006)

This is the starting piece. A decent, Mint State,  Silver Eagle with only a few ticks here and there and a spot of toning or two. Nice, satiny luster apparent.

2. Day 3 (March 8, 2006)

You can already see scuffs, wear and dings becoming very apparent after such a short time especially on the high points of the design where the dark areas (actually shiny on the coin) show where the major disturbanes are. Luster is already less strong overall too.

3. Day 17 (March 22, 2006)

More scuffs and rub apparent. Luster is getting more and more impaired. Dings increasing but no major damage as of yet. I haven't dropped it as of yet. ;)
